Break-ups: The Mean Reds (2003-2005)

The Mean Reds have called it quits, simply stating on their site "we the Mean Reds are breaking up." The band's proper debut full-length, Together At Last and This is Our Wedding, was originally scheduled to come out November 8th on Record Collection Music, but the band only mentions that "our record will be released on iTunes and on vinyl (later this year)" with nary a mention of a supporting label, and with album information no longer available on Record Collection's site as well.

The band has a few final shows lined up on the West Coast before the dissolving. You can click Read More to check out the dates. More details on these shows will be made available soon.

Formed in Tucson, Arizona in 2003, the glam rock-influenced electro-punk revivalists became notorious for their bizzarre live shows and garnered favorable comparisons to L.A.'s the Germs throughout their career, and managed to put out two additional releases: 2003's Destination Imagination and last year's Some Kind of Adventure Through History.
