Hopeless/Subcity plans "Metal=Life" Charity compilation
Hopeless Records has announced Metal=Life, an upcoming charity compilation of metal and hardcore bands. The album is being produced conjunctively with The Hot Topic Foundation, a charity group benefits a variety of children's music and art organizations. 100% of Hot Topic's profits from the release will go to the charity. Subcity, as with all their releases will contribute 5% of the retail price to charity as well.
The double-disc includes contributions from Giving Chase, As I Lay Dying, Between the Buried and Me, Into the Moat, Day Of Contempt, Horse the Band, Most Precious Blood, Avenged Sevenfold, Break the Silence, He Is Legend, High On Fire and Breather Resist among others. It will be packaged with a DVD including video material from 18 of the bands on the 33-song collection.
Initially, the compilation will be exclusive to Hot Topic stores in the US, but will be followed by a wide release in January. You can click Read More for the track listing and artwork.
