Placebo announces new album, upcoming tour dates

Placebo have announced tour dates in support of their upcoming album Meds, which will be released on March 13th in the UK. Their new album, which features guest appearances by R.E.M. front-person Michael Stipe and VV from The Kills, is the followup to Sleeping With Ghosts which was released in 2004. Dimitri Tikovoi produced the record, which promises to harken back to the band's earlier, simpler days. Frontperson Brian Malko had this to say:

We allowed space for the songwriting to shine through rather than show up how clever we were and how good we've gotten at using the studio. We were going for simplicity rather than elaboration.

The band has scattered dates throughout Southeast Asia, the UK, Europe and Australia announced. Read More to see them.
