Street Dogs writing for new album, opening for the Pogues

Boston's Street Dogs have given us an update on their current going-ons. The band is writing for their next album, and currently have fifteen songs in consideration. They have plans to take a break for some touring and to post some demos from their current writing process in the upcoming month, including international dates.

The Street Dogs are fronted by Mike McColgan, former singer of the Dropkick Murphy's and feature drumming by Joe Sirois, formerly of The Mighty Mighty Bosstones. They released Back to the World last year.

The band has also been tapped as openers for The Pogues' appearance in Boston at the Orpheum.
