Tours: Blondie and the New Cars on "Road Rage 2006"
Recent hall of fame inductees, Blondie, have announced a tour with the "new" Cars called the Road Rage Tour 2006. The long-running band, and early CBGB's staple recently unveiled a CD+DVD package on March 7th titled Greatest Hits: Sound and Vision. The collection includes 20 audio tracks and 16 videos, including a "mashup" of "Rapture" with the Doors' "Rider on the Storm" which is featured as both an audio track and video.
Joining the band will be new wave staples The New Cars which features most of the original Cars lineup except for frontman and now producer Ric Ocasek (Weezer, Bad Brains) who has given his blessing to the lineup.
