The Receiving End of Sirens and Casey Crescenzo part ways

The Receiving End of Sirens have announced that member Casey Crescenzo is no longer with the band. Crescenzo's duties in the band included vocals, keyboards, sequencing, and additional guitar work.

The band went on to explain:

Obviously, many factors, personal and creative, were involved in this decision. However, we wish Casey the best in his future endeavors.

Crescenzo will be focusing on his solo project, acoustic/folk/indie act Dear Hunter, which will release an EP this summer on TREOS' label, Triple Crown, with a full-length to follow in 2007. Some older demos are available at an infrequently updated myspace page.

The band will continue on touring and writing for the followup to last year's debut full-length, Between the Heart and the Synapse. A friend referenced only as "Ross" will be filling in as a temporary replacement.

The Boston, MA-based post-hardcore act recently wrapped up headlining two weeks' worth of dates with I Am the Avalanche and labelmates As Tall As Lions and Hit the Lights. In early June they'll head out with Boys Night Out for a tour of Canada, with a support tour for Circa Survive set to follow, as well as U.K. dates with Fightstar.
