So What Is 'Cuts From The Crypt' ?

From the Michale Graves message board: Click READ MORE for the full post : 'Cuts From The Crypt includes a number of rarely heard Roadrunner and Geffen B-sides including 'Dead Kings Rise', '1,000,000 BC' and 'The Monster Mash', all of which are powerful additions to the Misfits repertoire. There is also a blistering cover of Iggy Pop's 'I Got a Right', three totally unheard songs done after the 'Famous Monsters' LP (done mainly for unreleased film soundtracks) as well as a collection of oddities outtakes and unreleased A-sides.

"This is what I got aswear when I asked from few of the Roadrunner Records distributors in Finland about the new Misfits record:

The Misfits 'Cuts From The Crypt' is a collection of largely unreleased material from 1995 to present. Tracks included date back to The Misfits 1996 'Ressurection' when Jerry Only, his brother Doyle , drummer Dr. Chud and new vocal recruit Michale Graves came raging back into action with a fury and fire that not only equaled but occasionally surpassed the Danzig days of legend. Working with the band, RR New York has included a number of unreleased tracks from that era which have been come to be known as the 'Mars Attacks' demos. While some of these songs did make it to the Misfits 'American Psycho' LP, the songs and performances have a fire about them that "American Psycho" failed to surpass.

Tracklisting is still being confirmed but "Cuts From The Crypt" should contain in around 18 songs.

Artwork for the record will be done by renown comic and fantasy artist Berni Wrightson, best known for his early "Swamp Thing" comics as well as the definitive, illustrated version of Mary Shelly's "Frankenstein".

That's the information that I got. I don't know the actual release date in USA, but here in Finland it's planned to be 29th of October, propbaly few days earlier in US (damn, why do I have to live so far away…?)

Hope you all enjoyed this info (at least I did)."
