Moneen to release "mostly acoustic" EP

Moneen has announced plans to follow their 2006 full length, The Red Tree with a "mostly" acoustic digital EP released through eMusic.

The Saying Something You Have Said Before: A Quieter Side of Moneen EP
will be free with digital purchase of The Red Tree, the band's latest release. The EP, recorded in August 2006, features 4 acoustic versions of songs from The Red Tree and will include one unreleased track from The Red Tree recording sessions. The EP was produced by vocalist/guitarist Kenny Bridges and co-produced, engineered, and mixed by Greg Dawson at BWC Studios in Moneen's hometown of Brampton, Ontario.

For those who prefer physical copies, the band will press a limited quantity of dual-disc CDs to be sold only on tour. The EP will contain the 5 exclusive tracks and disc two will be a DVD with live footage of Moneen from a June 2006 concert at Toronto's Opera House.
The band will also play 2 headlining dates on the U.S. East Coast in between a short Canada trek with Boys Night Out and the Junction and their full U.S. tour with Alexisonfire and Cancer Bats. You can click Read More for those dates.
