Patti Smith talks about Hall of Fame induction

The legendary Patti Smith recently wrote a thoughtful column in the New York Times about her upcoming induction into the Rock'n'Roll Hall of Fame. She approaches the event with some humility and skepticism asking:

Should an artist working within the revolutionary landscape of rock accept laurels from an institution? Should laurels be offered? Am I a worthy recipient?

In the column, she talks about her late husband, Fred Sonic Smith, of Detroit's MC5 asd well as comparing the Internet to CBGB's. You can check out the entire piece here.
