Queers dates and plans / Joe Queer and Ben Weasel writing for Marky Ramone project

The Queers are back on the road this month in support of both their new full length Munki Brain and their ongoing reissue series via Asian Man Records. The band is touring under the Pleasant Screams lineup of Dangerous Dave (aka Agent Swain) on guitar, and Matt Drastic on drums, along with Ben Vermin on bass (interestingly Queer comments that Drastic's other band Bullets to Broadway is either broken up or "taking a break").

The bands latest reissue is Grow Up, which features 5 bonus tracks recorded during the original sessions for that record -- "Feeling Groovy", "Dog Food", "Slug", "Gay Boy", and "Goodbye California." Mass Giorgini is remixing Don't Back Down, which is next up for release to be followed by A Day Late and a Dollar Short and the aforementioned Pleasant Screams.

In regards to Queers-related bands, Joe reveals that he'll soon be flying back to Boston to start work on a new Drunken Cholos record. The Methadones and Italy's the Manges will tour the US west coast from May 29th to June 22nd. The Queers will head to Europe with Marky Ramone in July, with Joe and Dave playing as part of Marky's band. Joe revealed possible future plans with the Ramones drummer, as "I am off to see Mr. Weasel in May to pound out the tunes for this album we want to do with Marky. All of us are busy as shit so it remains to be seen when we can actually get together and record but we are working on it so keep your eyes peeled for more on that super session."
