MxPx details new album

MxPx has posted the details for their upcoming album Secret Weapon, due out on July 17, 2007. Secret Weapon will be MxPx's first studio album released on Tooth & Nail since 1996. It is also the follow-up to Let's Rock which was released in 2006.

The band will also be touring this spring

in the weeks leading up to the release.

The album was produced by Aaron Sprinkle; the first time the band has worked with him since their 1994 debut album Pokinatcha. Former Superdrag frontman John Davis helps with piano and backing vocals on "Sad Sad Song," while Bad Religion guitarist Brian Baker also contributes to the album opener and title track.
