Lobster Records' team launches Oort label, readies new releases

The fine folks behind Lobster Records have announced the formation of Oort Records. The founders explain the purpose of the new imprint:

Our label is a starter home for new bands [...] [We] offer contracts on a project by
project basis; moderate budget, one album deals that provide artists
with an opportunity to create without being confined. We work closely
with artists to develop their ability to reach an audience and promote
themselves to the next level. Our goal is to deliver high quality
rock music at a reasonable cost to the fans at a rate of eight to ten
releases a year.

To that end, the label has announced three debut releases. Dawn of the Dude, Rosematter and Anchors for Arms who will be releasing albums in October.
