Makoto split 7" series is *not* dead - go ahead and poke it, it'll move.

So Makoto Recordings started off an incredible split 7" series over the summer with a Small Brown Bike/Cursive split and an Aloha/Lovesick split. Many people subscribed to the series with dreams of the rock to come. Then, nothing happened for about 6 months. People thought that Makoto series fell through, or was otherwise pronounced dead. Then today in the mail I got volumes 3 and 4 [Sweep The Leg Johnny/Haymarket Riot and Tight Bros From Way Back When/Inside Five Minutes, respectively]. These are the "November 2001" pairings, so the label is still playing catch-up, but they've been busy [see: Michigan Fest]. There's *still* time to subscribe to the series, which will feature bands like the Honor System, Ted Leo, Radio 4, the Casket Lottery, the Good Life, Q and not U, and more. Just head on over to MakotoRecordings.com and read the instructions.
