So, yesterdays events were insane and completely unexpected to say the least. We pulled into chicago at about 12:45 am saturday morning. We left right after our milwalkee show on friday. When we got to chicago we went straight to a club where our friend matt from Kill Hannah was a DJ for a night. It was a good time but bars close at 2am there, so we didn't have much time. We all cashed out pretty early at our friend mili's house. 3 of us woke up early to go check into our hotel. Shortly after checking in, we went our separate ways for lunch with our girlfriends. We came back no more that an hour and 15 mins and someone had broke into our van and stole everything of value. We were shocked and completely bummed. We made a police report, but had to get to the show. We loaded in in negative 20 degree weather. All was good until someone side swiped our brand new trailer while we were in the venue and crushed part of our wheel well. Ha. Needless to say, it was a horrible day in chicago but the crowd during the show made up for the whole day. The show was great and we are looking forward to returning, only with a van alarm system.
1/19/2008We had our day off today in chicago. Half of us slept until around 2 or 3 and the rest of us were fortunate enough to spend the day with our girlfriends. Chicago is a beautiful city and has many benefits but it has shown us its ugly side a few times in such a short stay. Yesterday our van was broken into and a lot of personal belongings were stolen and our trailer was side swiped. Today caleb our drummers Iphone was stolen and the wheels on my suit case (that carries everything I own) broke 3 and a half blocks and 3 flights of stairs away from the place we are staying tonight. All in all this has been a rough 2 days for The Becoming. But days like these are what we will look back on and laugh about. Its our story. I guess we'll see what tomorrow in indianapolis hold for us.

Driving towards Cincinnati.
Playing the 20th Century Theater there tonight, still on the Red Jumpsuit Apparatus tour.. I think we're almost halfway through the tour, and I'm almost halfway through a 20 oz. cup of crap coffee I picked up at the last gas station we stopped at. It's doing the trick though.
Just took a break from my book to write this…I've been re-reading The Picture of Dorian Gray on this tour. I would have liked to have met Oscar Wilde.
At any rate, we played in Indianapolis last night, which was a good bit of fun, aside from the cold.
One of Red Jumpsuit's guitarists is from there, so after the show we all met up at a little place he knew of called Joe's Grille. Our GPS led us 30 mins in the wrong direction first, but once we arrived it was well worth the wait. I got to brush up on my pool game, and we all experienced the biggest tenderloin sandwiches we had ever seen.
We ended up at a hotel last night called Dollar Inn. Ironically, it cost more than a dollar for our stay, and also the Hilton was directly across the street.
We slept 3-deep on each of the two beds. The bathroom looked like a crime scene, the beds smelled like imitaion Drakkar and prostitute sweat, and we will never stay at Dollar Inn again.
Just pulled into Cinci - time to load in.
