Green Day updates: Life Magazine, Blu-Ray plans, Rock Band plans

Some more bundled updates from Green Day today. First, the band was part of a photo spotlight through online version of the legendary Life.com. The venerable photo magazine documented the band's recent sold-out show at Hollywood's Henry Fonda Theater as a warm-up for their upcoming tour supporting the album 21st Century Breakdown. The band has also unveiled plans to go high definition, with label Warner Music Group unveiling plans for a new Blu-Ray version of their concert DVD, 2005's Bullet in a Bible. The disc is due out June 22, 2009 and you can check out the artwork here.

Finally, Rock Band creators Harmonix commented on the news that Green Day may get their own rhythm game:

Green Day's really, really great! Wouldn't you love to see Green Day in "Rock Band"? I would also love to see Green Day in "Rock Band"! Hopefully we'll have some official news soon!

Update: Harmonix has announced that three songs from 21st Century Breakdown - "21 Guns," "Know Your Enemy," and "East Jesus Nowhere." - will be available for sale in the game on July 7th.
