Hold On To Your Friends - A benefit for Sean McGrath

David Pfeffer sent us this: "Local musician and friend, Sean McGrath (former Saves the Day, Hands Tied,
Mouthpiece, Alps...), was last week diagnosed with intestinal cancer. He is
currently lying in Columbia Presbyterian Hospital and today will begin
chemotherapy treatment. Although very weak and in a lot of pain, Sean has
retained his positivity and is completely dedicated to beating cancer.
" We here at Punknews.org wish Sean the best for a speedy recovery. Click below for ways to help him out.
Update: I've added some more details for the Half.com sale to make it easier to see the auctions.

BENEFIT SHOW IN NYC

To assist Sean with his mounting medical bills and show him our support, we
are throwing a benefit show Saturday June 15th at Irving Plaza, NYC. The
show will feature Thursday, Midtown, Taking Back Sunday, and The Alps
(Sean's current band), tickets will go on sale via Ticketmaster in the next
few days. All proceeds for the show will go entirely to Sean's recovery.

HALF.COM
In less than one week, we have raised over $1000 re-selling your donated
CDs, DVDs, videos, and books on half.com, and we'll be accepting donations
for as long as is necessary. Today is my last day on my current project at
MTV, so please take a moment today to drop off anything you have handy in my
office: 23-81. Next week and beyond, you can drop items with Dave Pfeffer in
29-66.

You can click here to see some of the stuff. And the half.com username is: SeanMcGrathFund.

PAYPAL

We didn't expect so many folks to offer direct financial assistance, but
have been ecstatic with the number of people who've donated money via check
so far. If you'd like to donate dough, you can do so with a check (made out
to Sean McGrath) OR via the PayPal account we have set up for donations. If
you have a PayPal account, you can send donations to
SeanMcGrathFund@aol.com.

thanks again for all of your help,
