Hives Writing, Recording Soon

The
Hives recently talked to Rolling
Stone about their followup to 2000's "Veni Vidi Vicious." The band
is at home in Fagersta, Sweden writing at the moment. Singer Pelle
Almqvist described the songwriting to the magazine, "It's
a bit stiffer than the last album... Kind of like Devo crossed with
Motown." The band plans to begin recording later this spring. Due to the
legal trouble caused by their seemingly multiple record deals last year, I'm not
sure who has the rights to release this.
