Streams: IKARI WARRIORS: "Dry Bones"

Punknews is excited to premiere a new track from IKARI WARRIORS' new album. The song, "Dry Bones" comes off of the band's debut LP Sundowner, which will be self-released on February 8th. The song is a testament to the 80's-era DIY sound, with the music style rooted in that decade, but also influenced by punk from the intervening years.

The highly secretive band- the only solid information that they've made public is that they are "Punk rock from the north of England" and that there are two members- has this to say about the album, and the band's overall motivation:

This record was made by two guys in a bedroom who truly believe in the DIY aspect of punk rock and feel that, that ethos is dying out with the influx of pay to play culture in music these days. Production wise, we really wanted to get back the dirty, older sound of punk rock albums that we grew up with on second or third generation cassette recordings.

IKARI WARRIORS plans to round out the band with more members in order to begin performing live, as well as start work on another new album. In the meantime, you can check out the stream below.
