Chumbawamba sends Clive Palmer C&D over "Tubthumping"

In June 2018, controversial Australian mining magnate and politician Clive Palmer relaunched the de-registered Palmer United party as the United Australia party. He took out billboards across the country that read "Make Australia Great," mimicking the slogan used by Donald Trump.
To support his campaign, he released a video that showed a group of men singing the refrain from Chumbawamba's "Tubthumping." After learning about the video, Chumbawamba sent Palmer a cease and desist that read, in part, the was not granted permission to use the song due to his "redundant views on climate change, immigration and abortion. Tubthumping is a song written to champion the resilience of working people, not to further a billionaire’s political ambitions.” Palmer's party did not issue a statement in response.
