July 25 through the 28th will see the inaugural Side by Side Weekend hit Ottawa, Ontario. One of the spiritual successors fo the now-defunct Ottawa Explosion, the even will see four days of shows go down at the neighboring venues Black Squirrel Books and House of TARG. Bands playing the weekend include The Steve Adamyk Band, WLMRT, Jon Creeden And The Flying Hellfish, Dboy, CELL, BBQT, Life In Vacuum, Deathsticks, Bondar, Bonnie Doon and many more.
