Jesse Townley moves to Packaged Sounds

Here's some industry news for you. Punk industry mover-and-shaker Jesse Townley has moved over to Buckinghamshire, England's Packaged Sounds. He will be serving as an account manager. The company presses vinyl, CDs, and DVDs and ships worldwide. Townley issued a press release: "Get yer vinyl, cd, dvd direct! Since we manufacture all of the parts (including stampers & all print), our prices are low enough that shipping to the US & Canada still makes us very inexpensive. Turn-around time from WAV files to finished records (including test pressings) is 6 to 8 weeks!?! "
The change follows a string of power moves by Townley. Previously, he worked as production manager at Fat Wreck Chords. Before that, he was general manager at Alternative Tentacles, having worked at the company for a total of 15 years. And, before that, he worked at Lookout Records in various capacities. Townley was also a member of Berekeley's rent stabilization board.
Townley has stated that he plans to continue recording with his band The Pathogens.
