The Bollweevils, Apocalypse Hoboken and more at WLUW Benefit Show
us that on Friday, November 28th there will be a special benefit show for
radio station 88.7 WLUW. Several disbanded
Chicago punk bands will be reforming for the show. According to the stations
website the bands include The Bollweevils, Apocalypse
Hoboken and The Traitors. Also on the bill is The
Dutchmen and Mexican
Cheerleader For more information head over to WLUW.
Apocalypse Hoboken's website
posted the following: "You'd be a fool to pass up this opportunity. There will be other bands past their prime as well. Will they play "Brett"? Will they start everything on fire? Will they succumb to the Power Ballad? You'll have to come out to find out. Much arm twisting and back room negotiating took place to make this whole enterprise float, so after an entire summer of 18 hour business meetings / benders down in the sunny Florida Keys, here comes Apocalypse Hoboken again. And then they'll be gone again."
Johann's Face Records will be releasing
a 7" from The Traitors early next year titled Bring Me The Head of Matt
Skiba. Head over to their website for more information.
