DEEP ELM : RELOADED…
INDIE RECORD LABEL ANNOUNCES 2004 TOURING ROSTER

Deep Elm is pleased to announce six additions to its exclusive 2004 roster:
SOUNDS LIKE
VIOLENCE, BURNS OUT BRIGHT, CLAIR DE LUNE, ELEVEN MINUTES AWAY, LOCK AND KEY and
FIRE DIVINE.
They join DESERT CITY SOUNDTRACK, SETTLEFISH, SURROUNDED, RED ANIMAL WAR and
SLOWRIDE.

SOUNDS LIKE VIOLENCE is from Ängelholm, Sweden. The Pistol is their debut. And
yes, they really
are as good as everyone says they are. You won’t be able to get the white-hot
rock of the first
track You Give Me Heartattacks out of your head, let alone the rest. Touring the
UK in June,
followed by Germany.

Columbia, South Carolina’s BURNS OUT BRIGHT bring a whole new definition to
melodic, driving
post-hardcore on their incredible debut Distance And Darkness. Having already
toured with the
likes of Stretch Arm Strong, Evergreen Terrace and Bear Vs. Shark, these boys
are officially on
tour forever.

Hailing from the uber-cold city of Minneapolis, CLAIR DE LUNE’s hot-blooded
riffs come at you
from twenty different directions, rendering any attempt to categorize their
sound futile at
best. Their debut Marionettes is an extraordinary culmination of power, dynamic
beauty and
technical prowess.

Add Burlington, Ontario, Canada’s ELEVEN MINUTES AWAY to your list of ‘must
hear’ bands in
2004. This band shares its home - and frequently the stage - with Grade, Boys
Night Out and
Silverstein. A full-length is in the works, not to mention an invasion of the
US this summer.
Simply incredible hardcore.

It's impossible not to become invested in the hooks of LOCK AND KEY‘s infectious
debut No Fate,
which says a lot for a group characterized by their sheer volume. These songs
contain fire,
intensity and sincerity in equally impressive doses. Catch these Boston natives
on tour now
with Jericho RVA.

FIRE DIVINE, a Marlton, New Jersey based quintet, features members of The June
Spirit and A
Life Once Lost. As the title of the their debut It’s All A Blur suggests, they
rip through like
a hurricane with dizzying time signatures, dynamic shifts and Ian Musgrove’s
intense vox
striking the most tender nerves.

In other news, Portland's DESERT CITY SOUNDTRACK just finished a US tour and are
hitting the
road again in April in support of Funeral Car and a three-way split EP with the
unpredictable
Italian-Canadian outfit SETTLEFISH (Bologna, Italy) and Sounds Like Violence.
Dallas’ RED
ANIMAL WAR will be touring the US for six full months beginning in June to
support their J.
Robbins-produced third full-length Polizida. Sweden’s SURROUNDED is currently
finishing up a UK
tour supporting Safety In Numbers, while SLOWRIDE is gearing up in Dallas for
the road as
well…following the recent theft of all their gear.

Commenting on the new additions and changing face of the Charlotte label, owner
John Szuch said
"The Deep Elm roster is stronger with more talent, more rock, better
songwriting, better
releases and more excitement than ever before. We’re focused on touring bands
that are
fearlessly dedicated to the road. As an artist development-driven label, we
pride ourselves in
finding the best young bands throughout the world, rather than cherry picking
well-known
artists from other labels. We exist to help young bands grow, create,
build…like we have for
Appleseed Cast, Brandtson, Planes Mistaken For Stars and others. This is the
only way we feel
we can genuinely contribute to this thing we call Indie Rock…"

Deep Elm is distributed exclusively by Southern (US), Shellshock (UK) and Backs
(World).
