Green Day will release the song "Holiday" as the third single from American Idiot in time for the holiday season. The song "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" is currently the #1 song on Billboard's Modern Rock singles chart. Frontman Billie Joe Armstrong commented "'Holiday' is the prequel to 'Boulevard of Broken Dreams,' so we shot both videos at the same time, You get to see what actually happened before we ended up walking in the desert. We had a little party in a car and partied on top of the car and everywhere else."

Green Day will be on the road this December in Europe, Australia and Japan. A North American tour is scheduled for the spring and summer of 2005.
