Horse The Band writing new record, touring with Circle Takes The Square

Horse The Band is currently writing for the followup to 2003's R. Borlax. The band is also planning on doing a midwest / west coast swing with Circle Takes The Square [review] and Numbertwelvelookslikeyou later this year. We'll post those dates when they become available. Here's some excerpts from the update the band posted on their site:

We are writing a new album...for all of January and February. Then in March we are going to record the new album somewhere.

After that we are going on a Midwest/West Coast tour with Circle Takes the Square and the Number 12 Looks Like You, possibly the most scene tour ever composed. We might even do the tour longer than that buuuuuuut if you live in a certain special city and would really like to see this tour email us and we will see if we can check you out...

The itinerary will be up in a few days. After this tour basically we are going to be on tour forever. Then the new record will come out and we will get way more popular than we are now and our shows will start to suck dick and you won't like us anymore, but 3 kids that are definitely less cool than you will take your place. Then we will get on Warped Tour and say some bullshit about how it was what we originally planned but trust me, we will be totally lying. We will become as big of a joke as From Autumn to Ashes and you will be embarassed that you ever liked us. But one thing you can't FUCKING DENY BITCH is that we toured with Circle Takes the Square (Circle Takes the Square is reading this. Now they are picking up their phone and asking to be dropped off the tour.) Shit

i love this band... and that last paragraph is just one of the reasons... these guys came to cafe metro and drew some fucked up stuff on my poster i bought there... kick ass guys... and R. Borlax still blows my fucking mind with every listen...

Oh wow, classy. You made both a joke about me getting a dick in the ass and about having no balls. I don't think I've been slammed like that since that since I was in third grade. Seriously I don't care about your musical taste (or lack there of) and you really haven't made fun of any of the bands I like. I just basically think you're not funny. Now I seem to have hit a sore spot because that whole "cocks up your ass" thing was a little uncalled for. Not Roboto, I believe is was called the "Spider Lounge" it was a few kid's basement somewhere in Castle Shannon. The place ruled! They had their own little stage and each show had free beer from the keg. Half the fun was just hangin' out in this damn house, be it HORSE taking shots of Jack in their assholes or tossing hotdogs around the house in the middle of suburbia. - Kirby

Butler? Fuck you! Kidding, there was like 20 or so people @ the last show and I'd say half were there for the other local bands, so you really can't draw a smaller crowd. Um, I'd have to compress the video into something, right now all I have is the huge multiple GB video file that I'm sending to the band for use on a DVD of theirs in the not to distant future. i've been talking to freinds of mine in clarion county and got them all to listen to HORSE and i'd say i got probally 20 or 30 people to like them... plus the brady punks will show up to anything, and if i get Finster to play like i'm planning on doing, they'll get probally 30 or 40 people from butler to come... as long as i can make my money back on it i'll be thrilled... if i make more than that i'll book someone else later in the summer... i'll im you tonight if you come away from away... my sn is VisforVlad13

I heard HORSE the BAND on saturday, burned thier cd on sunday, listened to it all day monday, and today im looking them up online. I cant get enough. They do need to come here, to florida. Namely Jacksonville. The scene sucks, but i know plenty of ppl who would be down for horse. Besides, id totally crap on nathans chest if they came here. Belee dat.
