Green Day and Jimmy Eat World will embark on a lengthy North American tour in the second week of August. The bands, supporting their latest full lengths American Idiot and Futures respectively, will be on the road together until early October. Among the dates are massive stadium shows at venues like Giants Stadium in New Jersey and SBC Park in San Francisco. After the tour wraps up on October 2nd in Chula Vista, California, Green Day has also scheduled (without Jimmy Eat World) a pair of dates at the Home Depot Center near Los Angeles on October 8th and 9th.

when do you think the next Green day album will be released? 2006 maybe? they're on a roll now so that's probably what i'd guess.

Wow. Do you people realize how fuckingbig the Toyota Center is ? That's where U2, Paul McCartney, and the Rolling Stones are all set to play in the next year. Does that make Green Day legends now for real ?
Someone (May 6, 2005)
Home Depot center? what the hellll is that? I wonder what's next for Green Day. They take huge breaks from recording, then start touring like no other. I think Dirnt's b-day was the other day too. the big 3-4!!

Offtopic again, sorry. I have an extra ticket for the Built to Spill show on may 11th show at Irving Plaza. It's sold out but I'm a loser and I can't find anyone to go with. Tickets were 25 bucks. If anyone is interested, please respond and we'll get in touch. I can mail it to you or meet you there...it's not like we have to hang out or anything. Thanks.

Is anyone else bored stupid by Green Day? How long have they been touring this crap? Seriously, it's getting boring.
allison_le_gnome (May 6, 2005)
Are they trying to set a record for touring with the most shitty pop-punk bands?
Tahoejeff (May 6, 2005)
FUCK! I will be overseas when this comes to town. Granted, its in the Tacoma Dome...where the sound sucks ass....but still.

My brother is playing second guitar for Green Day on their European (stadium) tour. Just thought I'd give you blokes something to complain about.
Someone (May 6, 2005)
I don't think their cd is any good. What's with people thinking it's some great political statement, it's stupid! That's like giving Fat Mike the Noble Peace Prize Sara (no h)
Someone (May 7, 2005)
sigh. They are probably the band of the generation. I don't think they can get any bigger then a stadium show! yikes
