Tours: Green Day / Jimmy Eat World

Green Day and Jimmy Eat World will embark on a lengthy North American tour in the second week of August. The bands, supporting their latest full lengths American Idiot and Futures respectively, will be on the road together until early October. Among the dates are massive stadium shows at venues like Giants Stadium in New Jersey and SBC Park in San Francisco. After the tour wraps up on October 2nd in Chula Vista, California, Green Day has also scheduled (without Jimmy Eat World) a pair of dates at the Home Depot Center near Los Angeles on October 8th and 9th.

i second that. i remember them taking the riverdales and pansy division out on arena tours. they have such a great chance to bring some lesser known bands to the 14 year old masses and they are blowing it under label pressure.

blink was horrible at the detroit show on that tour. no jokes, no stage presence whatsoever, they were just terrible and have been every time i've ever seen them. green day on the other hand always seems to enjoy being a band and always have fun on stage. blink treated being in a band like it was just another job, which it is but come on... if there is a better job out there i'd like to know what it is

Haha if I didn't know that this was flamebait I might say something like, "Every critic who reviewed those shows commented on the fact that GD destroyed Blink," or, "Blink is one of the worst live bands in history, their drummer is the only remotely talented person anywhere near that suck-fest" And I would be right. Toyota center is pretty big and can cram around 19,000 people in for concerts. ALthough i doubt i would ever go see anything there, but being so close to Minute Maid park it's hard to miss. I miss seeing green day here in corpus for cheap prices and with good bands

first time they played detroit, like 2 years ago, or maybe 3 now actually, they opened for mustard plug in the shelter which only held 400 at the time. they just did 10,000 at the palace while mustard plug is still doing 500. sad really
