Someone (June 1, 2005)
I heard Hellfest offered Lifetime like $20,000 to reunite and play and they turned it down. Anyone else hear this or know what's up?
Someone (June 1, 2005)
they will bring the mosh!!!! why don't they put simple plan on it too? this is retarded for them to headline

Haha, wow. Just wow. Two years ago, I got a 3 day pass for 55 dollars, and there were some great bands playing. Skycamefallings last set, Dillinger played for an hour, Figure Four. And look what's happened now. Hellfest was Syracuse's event. 7 Fucking years it was in Syracuse, tickets were cheap, good bands played, and kids came from all over the country to have fun. Then it gets sponsored by Hot Topic, and moves to Jersey. I don't understand this. They've taken what has to the potential to be an incredible event, and put it in the shittiest city of one of the shittiest states, and has Taking Back Sunday headline. I don't even have problem with them, but this is fucking Hellfest. Get this garbage out of here. Fuck you New Jersey, fuck you Hot Topic, and most of all fuck you Trustkill. God damnit.

You know, I'm glad that the punk music I like is no longer trendy and popular, and I have screamo, and dickheadmachopunk to thank for that. Maybe now I can wear my NOFX shirt and not have 12 year olds telling me my shirt's rad. They'll now only say that to the kid in the Atreyu shirt. Although my NOFX shirt still has that permanent moldy stink about it..
Someone (June 1, 2005)
I remember when Hellfest booked bands that would want to kick the shit out of a band like TBS, not share a stage with them.
Someone (June 1, 2005)
today i watched my pig grow wings and fly to the end of the rainbow where he discovered a pot of gold and met a friendly little leprechaun named Ol' Gregory McDoogle. I don't think he's coming back.
Someone (June 1, 2005)
fuck that....did someone say SPURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRZZZZZZZZZZ?????!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??????????
Someone (June 2, 2005)
This is fucking hilarious i'm glad that hellfest has sold out to the masses. I mean it makes sense they are all a bunch of money hungry assholes. $99 shit can't i go see the same shitty bands at Warped tour anyways.
Someone (June 2, 2005)
i also heard this and everyone was down but the singer. so they offered him some extra $$ on the side and he still said no.
Someone (June 2, 2005)
no label confirmed yet? Looks like someone needs to check in with 2 weeks ago and get their scoop. Not only was it confirmed, but it was WIDELY publicized.
Someone (June 2, 2005)
Actually I have been told that the co-headliners this year on the Saturday show will be Poison Idea and Ragmen. Not bad at all...
Someone (June 2, 2005)
thats the shittiest thing i ever heard. TBS should be headlining Pussyfest HELLFEST needs shit like SLAYER and KILLSWITCH ENGAGE and violent sounding bands as such and 99 dollars to me is the death of music
Someone (June 2, 2005)
The tagline "all ages, no drugs, full strength" makes me want to stay at home.
Someone (June 2, 2005)
a reliable 'source' told me that TBS is now on Warner Bros. 99 bucks, that's more than lollapalooza, do they give blowjobs in the port-a-pottys?
Someone (June 2, 2005)
they signed a deal with a major about 6 months ago they just haven't announced it yet
Someone (June 2, 2005)
to all the people shit talking jersey. name ONE good band that has gotten somewhere and is actually a good band. jerseys list goes on and on and on you fuckers.
Someone (June 2, 2005)
i remember last year i told you all how Hellfest was a fucking moronic thing... its like sposed to be some hard-ass version of Warped, but its not, its for people who never go to regular shows and support bands that way, so they pay a fistfull of cash to all these bands and feel like its the same as seeing them in a smaller venue. well guess what, hellfest is still a fucking moronic scene field-trip. and you all were like "NO DUDE ITS AWESOME" well lets seee how awesome it is with TBS headlining. i was right you were wrong -siren11
Someone (June 2, 2005)
this site never has any up to date info, everyone knows TBS signed to Warner bros

So they increase in the price of a 3 day pass from 75$ to 99$(and a single day was 35$ last year) and have a hugely commercial headliner? Looks like its all about the money this year!
Someone (June 2, 2005)
Best thing to ever happen to this band was when Against Me! locked them in their dressing room... (you know..i guess it takes a while to sort out that "emo sweep" and all that and paint your finger nails black, more about the fashion then the music eh?) well i guess somebody got a key and let them out...you know bad records to be made and all your young adoring fans who were into nu metal 4 years before and "nu faux metal emo" now, but could be swayed by the offerings of metalcore defintaley don't wanna lose those fans, worth too many £$ etc. Also the next person that calls Atreyu/Silverstein etc a "Hardcore" band has obviously been listening to too much metalcore or emo. Now please pick up some Minor Threat, Black Flag, Ebola, Hero Dishonest and Boxed In records.
Anchors (June 2, 2005)
One thing looking up for this, though the ticket increase is pretty big, last year featured a little over 100 bands, this year is supposed to be 175 plus. And 5 stages, not 3.
Someone (June 2, 2005)
wtf now its in trenton i went to last years and in 03 in syracuse syracuse was so much closer than it is now trenton is a lot farther this sux bring it back to syraCUSE PLEASE

I'M FROM NEW JERSEY and I'm proud about it, I love the Garden State. I'M FROM NEW JERSEY and I want to shout it, I think it's simply great. All of the other states throughout the nation may mean a lot to some; But I wouldn't want another, Jersey is like no other, I'm glad that's where I'm from. why all the trash talkin about jersey? ha
Someone (June 5, 2005)
the ataris headlined last year. why is anyone surprised that it's getting worse? did you think it was a momentary lapse in judgement? it's obvious that it's going to get worse and worse as time goes on. expect my chemical romance and from first to last being added. next year i'm predicting good charlotte headlining. i guaran-fucking-tee it. |
