Gearhead announces two new singles; Spunks post short horror film

Gearhead has announces two new seven inches due out this summer. The first comes from The Spunks and will include two tracks, "Russian Roulette" and "Can-nana Fever." The record was recorded with Don Fury and will be limited to 1000 copies.

The second, from Bottles and Skulls will include "Scream Scream" and "Dead in the USA."

In related news, The Spunks have also posted a short "horror" film shot in a Tokyo graveyard last year. Titled The Mystery Horror Clip, you can check it out here in quicktime and windows media.

I saw the Spunks about two years ago with six other people, including the bartender, in attendance. I spent most of the evening cataloging where they were stealing their riffs from.

i saw a band here in detroit like that a few months ago. i didn't pay attention til the last 2 songs and then they played mother and ace of spades while pretending that changing lyrics makes the songs their own. would have been much less sad had it been kids but instead it was guys around my age (28)

You should check them out now - The Spunks are a much different band than they were when you saw them - I should now - have seen them play 4 times in the last 3 years

MRR played Bottles and skulls in their best of 2003 radio set and that track fucking smoked. I'll buy their records if I ever see them in stores. -Ken
