SideCho has signed Tacoma, WA's Some By Sea and Los Angeles's Shiny Toy Guns.
Some By Sea, who are described on their Myspace site as "your broken-hearted best friend who listens to far too much R.E.M., Carissa's Wierd, Death Cab for Cutie, Matt Pond PA, Built to Spill and the Smiths," will release their SideCho debut On Fire! (Igloo) on February 2nd, 2006. However, the band also has plans to release an EP titled The Saddest Christmas through Kringle Recordings on September 27th. Both releases follow up 2004's Kringle-released Get Off the Ground If You're Scared. The band will also be playing a CMJ showcase September 15th at CBGBs with Self Against City, the Pale Pacific, Rock & Roll Soldiers, the Hush Sound, Cruiserweight, Man Alive, Just Surrender, and Umbrellas.
Indie/electronica act Shiny Toy Guns, who issued their We Are Pilots full-length through Stormwest International earlier this year, will release their SideCho debut on November 16th. No word on whether the album will be a reissue or new effort, but we'll keep you updated.
