Lineup for Taste of Chaos 2006 confirmed; Silverstein, Pelican, Street Drum Corps, The Smashup added

The full list of bands have been announced for 2006's Taste of Chaos Tour. The additions joining previously announced acts: The Deftones As I Lay Dying, Atreyu, Thrice, and Story of the Year.

The new additions include Dredg, SIlverstein, The Receiving End of Sirens, Pelican, The Confession, Adair, Street Drum Corps, Greeley Estates, Millionaire and The Smashup.

The tour is scheduled to begin on February 15th, 2006 with tickets going on sale December 2nd via Ducat King. A kickoff party will precede the tour and take place at the Bowery Ballroom in New York City on December 7, 2005. Bands performing that night include Street Drum Corps (with special guests), Gym Class Heroes, Bleed The Dream, Adair, and The Smashup.

Dates for the 2006 edition are expected shortly.

Wow, that's actually a pretty solid lineup. I don't mean to sound surprised, but TOC seemed to be positioned as a more screamo/emo fest and yet we're seeing great bands like Pelican, The Smashup added to a pretty solid headlining group with Thrice and The Deftones. I don't like every band on the bill, but there is more good than bad.

this system you came up with needs revision. thrice is a category 2 gay while story of the year is a category 5. i think to remain somewhat hetero, a combination score of equal or less than 4 is required... therefore rendering the soty fans automatically gay in the butt.

Who the Fuck is Pelican? No one has said Anything about Thrice so im gonna, I saw them at Warped tour in the summer they play a kick ass set so if anyone has doubts there a good reason to go, Greeley Estates has alot of good stuff out too so check out the tour if u have doubts.

oh and for the guy who said MCR and The Used are the most commercial bands ever- Commercial is the fucking pussy cat dolls, and The Deftones are NOTHING to alot of people on here who actually like these two bands, so keep you're fucking mouth shut. I usually respect peoples opinions but you're blasting everyone elses, there's nothing wrong with us we just like MCR and The Used. No body is exactly the same as the next person- DEAL WITH IT,
As for this years line up it sucks.

Much Like "OMFG THE DEFTONES ROCK" boy. (Although, I do only like a Deftones song. . They are one of the best bands on the bill this year.) but still= you sir, go jerk off over some other band we arent interested :D
