Tours: Hanson Brothers in the Canadian prairies

The Hanson Brothers, hockey-obsessed side-project of long running Canadian punk act NoMeansNo, are on the road right now in Western Canada. The band kicked things off this past Thursday with a pair of BC shows and they'll be on the road for the remainder of the month.

The Hanson Brothers most recently released My Game in 2002 via Mint in Canada and Southern Records in Europe and the US. They followed it up with a European EP titled Brad the following year. In 2004 both the Brothers and their alter-egos in NoMeansNo released the DVD set Would we be... Live?.

Yes, but that was a long time ago. They've given up the whole commercial aspect to their sound. Don't worry, you find any radio-friendly filler on their next album.

I remember when I was about 10 or so these guys played at a minor league hockey game I was at. It was pretty cool.

Speaking of hockey. Donald Brashear is the sorriest excuse for a human being. I refuse to watch any other flyers game where he's dressed.

extreme? all he does is hug in fights and go after smaller guys and duck away from the real fights, wouldnt last toe to toe with shelley or laraque and has already got his ass handed to him by godard.

NoMeansNo's 'Wrong' is a great album. Check it out, especially if you like Descendents "All" (the album) era stuff. Reminds me a lot of that (schizo-punk?), but great in its own sense.
