More on AFI's “Decemberunderground” plans including trips to Japan, UK

Billboard has posted an article discussing some of what to expect from AFI's upcoming full length. The band is set to release their long-awaited (and delayed) sophomore album, Decemberunderground on June 6th.

The industry site had this to say about the sound:

"Decemberunderground" also features such tracks as the breakneck, scream-addled "Kill Caustic," the riff-heavy "Summer Shudder" and the driving "Love Like Winter," which is dotted with synths and electronic effects.

The band is also the process of shooting a new video for first single "Miss Murder" with director Marc Webb. Besides the previously announced Warped Tour and headlining tour plans, the band will hit Japan for the annual Summer Sonic Festival and the UK for a one-off May 25 show in London.

The album follows Sing the Sorrow and the band will be supporting the album with a run on this summer's Warped Tour.

i heard the whole thing earleir today and it sounded pretty good. a little brighter than the last record. some agressgive black sails era type stuff. some almost AC/DC esque stuff. a lot fuller and less whiny than STS, but still similar.

You all need to get over the fact that AFI has branched out into more styles than shitty punk. And just because they've been experimenting and changing the direction of their music, absolutely does not mean this new album will sound like My Chemical Romance. Obviously whoever made that statement up there has no fucking brains or probably no taste in good music, because that was the most random comparison Ive ever heard since AFI sounds nothing like MCR, nor ever will.

It's leaked, i heard it yesterday from Limewire. To be honest I am utterly disapointed. I don't like the new stuff as much, but Sing the sorrow just worked alot better than this album. There is no edge, just all blends into one. Maybe I will love it eventually, and everyone will probably think I am a fool. But there's my 10 cents
