Fake Problems, Money Brother, None More Black, Communiqué releases on Sabot

Sabot Productions has announced some of their upcoming releases.

First, Fake Problems will be releasing a new 7-inch this summer titled Spurs & Spokes. The band is currently on tour with O Pioneers!!!.

The label is also planning a six song EP from Sweden's Moneybrother. The band is signed to Burning Heart in Europe and some music can be found on their home page.

Communiqué will be releasing a five song EP titled Walk Into The Light. The EP will lead into their next full length which is due out in the fall.

Last, the label will be issuing the vinyl for None More Black's recent full length, This Is Satire.

I'm stoked on a new Communique EP.
I know a lot of old school American Steel fans don't like them but I think it's really a new chapter for them musically and it wouldn't really fit under American Steel.
And I'm all for vinyl records.

im still waiting for my copy of this is satire to come. is it as good as ive heard? or am i getting my hopes up?

I would settle for expecting something not as great as what you've been told. The album is decent but not that great in my opinion.

I know it's a matter of preference but in case you eventually love the record, It'll be good for you, in case you don't, at least you don't get hugely disappointed. I got a little

i think it's great, not as straightforward as their other stuff but after a few listens it becomes really addictive

i absolutely loved it. its one of the best records i've heard in years. so good. also, they own live, so go see them if they're coming near.

actually i dont haev it yet and people tell me to save my money. there just not consistent enough to enjoy the whole CD..thast what ive heard anyway

I don't really know but when I talked to them they said they weren't putting out new stuff on Look Out. I guess all their old stuff (and the American Steel stuff) will remain on LookOut but they were looking for a new label (apparently they even had one record left on their contract with LookOut).
My guess (and it's just a guess) is that they'll release the EP on Sabot and release their next full length with another label.

thanks. i have file under black, have seen them live, and really like them. and that fact that no one said it was bad i think that i will atleast enjoy it.

so who runs this label anyway? weren't they going to reissue the super early (and super shitty) against me stuff?

against me does, and it was to release that so called "shitty" stuff before they had a label. but im sorry the stuff they did release on sabot, their older stuff, is fucking amazing.

yeah i like their s/t 7" and the crime 7", i'm talking about the demo tapes and that 4 song 12" that sells for hundreds of dollars. i'm sorry but that stuff is awful, maybe the recordings i have are just bad quality but i didnt like it at all.

maybe sabot will become a subsidary of sire now?

the 12 inch recording is fucked, thats why they never really released it, and thats why it sells for so much. it was never released.
and i highly doubt the sire thing.
