The Black Tie Bombers sign to Pinky Ring Records

Cincinnati based punk act The Black Tie Bombers have signed to Pinky Ring Records. The label was formed by members of Sharler Records xReign of Terrorx and Ferret act xBishopx.

A local weekly described the band as:

Part of the noble army of [punk rock] diehards who keep the pace high, the snarl front and center and the energy unbridled, restless and reckless. Oi!-conjuring, breakneck Punk that straddles the old and new school.

You can check out a review of their recent live performance with the Queers.

The band is planning to release an EP on the label later this year and have posted the first demo track. You can check out "Hey Man, Nice Shirt" on their myspace page.

As a member of the cincinnati scene i speak for all of us when i say i hope this means you stop playing in fucking cincy every week and weasaling yourself into every show, and boycotting promoters who dont book you on national acts, and a whole bunch of mature shit you guys have strived on your way to becoming the most annoying band in any scene ever.

As I speak as a member of the USA, I'd rather see these guys come out of the Cincy-Dayton area than the one-two punch of crap you guys gave us with GBV and Hawthorne Heights.

Oh, hello, I see that you don't have a username. Who might you be? I too am a member of the Cincinnati punk scene and I've seen these guys play shows ever since they formed. I'm not sure I know what you're talking about when it comes to weaseling themselves onto every show imaginable, as they don't play that many shows (or not as many as they used to).

i'm happy to see them finally get the national recognition they deserve, and i would be saying the same thing if i WEREN'T good friends with em. as for the "weaseling" well it's hard to claim that a band as good as they shouldn't be playing shows in cincy, it's not like there's a huge population of good solid punk rock acts here. you can't fault someone for being well connected.

they recently had a lineup change, that might mean the loss of the political songs. i'll miss that. but otherwise this is very exciting news.

Hello my name is Ryan and I play in this almost halfway decent band mentioned above. I don't like to comment to people online but sometimes I feel the need to. So to mr. no name above:
Other than the past week and a half we only play in cincinnati about once a month, so playing all the time doesn't make sense, but we could try a little bit less just for you.

Saying we boycott promoters who don't out us on national acts is funny because friday night we played a thing called cincypunk fest and it was the mott fun show wev'e played all year. there wasn't one national band, and every bit of money went to charity and phones of which i donated 2 were collected and given to soldiers and battered women. The last show before that was a cd release show for our friends band team stray booked by a guy named tom who plays in team stray (great band everyone
