Joan Jett and the Blackhearts have posted a video from her new album Sinner release recently.

You can check it out here: "ACDC."

Jett will be joining the Warped Tour this summer. She runs Blackheart Records and produced seminal records by The Germs as well as tracks for Bikini Kill and Dischord Records.

I've been going by Amoeba and Rasputin's Berkeley almost daily trying to buy this fucking record. I'm not the only one either, arg! I'm a-gonna try again today.

Over the past 2 weeks I've bought the most new cds I've ever bought at once- 4. That shit's expensive! 2 cds & a dvd = $50? Hello used bins and lovely vinyl, I'm back...

Im pissed warped tour has joan jett on it! What's the world coming to????? these are the days I'm glad there are a shitload of differents stages because I won't be watching her. Why could mr. Kevin lyman put on bands with hot, young girl bands that rock. Why????

I guess I shouldn't be surprised that all the hateful idiots are signing their comments "anonymous." Seriously pathetic comments, you fucking losers.

As for the new record "Sinner" I finally snagged a copy from Amoeba (used, as the new copies hadn't arrived yet).

Short version- it's another rock record, not a punk rock record, though the extra-distorted (for a Joan Jett record) guitar of "Pure And Simple" shows up in almost every song. A guest vocal from Kathleen Hanna and a number of co-written tunes with her and Kenny Laguna (of course), plus one co-written with Linda Perry. That one is the political stomper that opens the record "Riddles" which samples Rumsfeld and Dubya.

A couple of exceptions to the loud and distorted tunes- the almost ska-like cover of Replacements "Androgynous" and the ballad "Watersign." Ick, though if I could get used to "I Need Someone" I can get used to "Watersign"...
