The Postal Service begin work on new album

Ben Gibbard recently told MTV News that he's begun work on the Postal Service's second full-length. The band's most recent release was 2005's EP We Will Become Silhouettes, which featured a track from Give Up, two remixes and one new track.

The Postal Service also recorded a cover of John Lennon's "Grow Old With Me" in December, which is available to download for a fee in the Make Some Noise music store. All proceeds benefit Amnesty International's Human Rights efforts.

Interesting. I still sort of like the first album. I wouldn't call it a personal favorite or anything but I can listen to it maybe once every two months, and that's not bad.

How long could The Postal Service album take? I wouldn't be surprised in 3 days we get a "Ben just finished the album"

I used to be impressed by the cool bloops, bleeps and cheesy drum beats, but then I realized how easy that shit was.

Of course, I love simple punk rock so I have no room to talk about not being impressed by elementary musicianship.

Death Cab is great in addition to Postal Service, if you guys actually listen to the lyrics you could understand what their talking about...Styrofoam Plates - DCFC is a good one that hits me and Sleeping in by Postal Service is great...and btw girls go crazy over bands like this and Coldplay...so knowing about them is a great way of connecting with chicks...knowledge is the key to G. ;)

may i say....fuck yes. Death Cab is a better overall band, but the Postal Service collaboration with Rilo Kiley's Jenny Lewis is what makes some of the first cd so wonderful. And fuck you guys for calling this fag rock. I listen to GlassJaw and FATA. fag rock= TBS.
