Buddyead to release modwheelmod, the Cassettes albums

Buddyhead Records has signed two new bands to it's roster.

The first is modwheelmood, which features Nine Inch Nails member Alessandro Cortini alongside Pelle Hillstrom, former guitarist for Abandoned Pools. The label describes them as "'alternative pop electronica', yet is a stimulating departure from the typical laptop based bands who label themselves as 'electronica.'" Their EP, Enemies and Immigrants will be available in stores on August 8th, but is currently available for purchase on the iTunes Music Store.

The second is D.C.-based "musical explorers society" the Cassettes. Fronted by Shelby Cinca, the group combines squeezebox, moog, banjo, saws and theramin. Joining Cinca are Saadat Awan Arthur Harrison, Tom Bernath, Christina Frances, Ryan Goodrow and Stephen Guidry. Cinca is known for his time at the front of former D.C. post-hardcore outfit Frodus and the recently on-hiatus Decahdedron. Currently a date and name for their release is unavailable.

In label news, Buddyhead Records recently relaunched their website with a new design.

i created it with the goal to see how quickly i could get banned. this proved to be more difficult than i thought because no amount of shit-talking tate and his family would get me banned or even get my comments deleted. so i asked for help from the punknews community and i gave out my password so anybody could log on to it and get banned.

after less than a week i lost interest (that site fucking sucks, too complicated) and a couple months later i find out some dumbass changed everything to make me look gay. thats okay though, i have no problem with homosexuags.

nothing really. they just dig em. the only bands that they have any real connection are the icarus line and now Nine Inch Nails plus the bands on their label.
