Buddyhead Records has signed two new bands to it's roster.

The first is modwheelmood, which features Nine Inch Nails member Alessandro Cortini alongside Pelle Hillstrom, former guitarist for Abandoned Pools. The label describes them as "'alternative pop electronica', yet is a stimulating departure from the typical laptop based bands who label themselves as 'electronica.'" Their EP, Enemies and Immigrants will be available in stores on August 8th, but is currently available for purchase on the iTunes Music Store.

The second is D.C.-based "musical explorers society" the Cassettes. Fronted by Shelby Cinca, the group combines squeezebox, moog, banjo, saws and theramin. Joining Cinca are Saadat Awan Arthur Harrison, Tom Bernath, Christina Frances, Ryan Goodrow and Stephen Guidry. Cinca is known for his time at the front of former D.C. post-hardcore outfit Frodus and the recently on-hiatus Decahdedron. Currently a date and name for their release is unavailable.

In label news, Buddyhead Records recently relaunched their website with a new design.
