The Charts: July 11th, 2006

Another weekly chart courtesy of our friends at Interpunk.com. We'll be bringing you a weekly update on the most popular albums of the past week, and of the past year as determined by sales in that store. We thought it would be a good way to see what people are listening to within our community; whether it be punk, hardcore, emo, ska or whatever.

This past week was relatively quiet for releases, with Rise Against the most high profile release by far for the July 4th week. However, a number of interesting entries appeared in the top five, including the LP version of The Bronx (II) released by Swami a month earlier than the Island release. Also featured was Tim Barry of Avail's solo demo and albums from Italian pop-punk act, The Popsters and country act Revival Preachers.

I originally thought it was bad because it lacked a lot of the energy that all the other albums had, but I tried listening to it as just words over music and I enjoyed it.

There are alot of great records being released, Johnny Cash, Rise Against, Greg Graffin, and i hear the world.... is also great. I got alot of fuckin buying to do. Also, I think its great that anti flag is still beating afi.

so i have a saved shopping cart at interpunk thats around $230. haha, fuck. i want so much music all the time, its just downright overwhelming. i do prefer to get one album at a time so i can really take it in though.

while yer at it you might as well add Bomb Squadron's "Another Generation Found". The first 8 songs are some of the catchiest, most memorable and most fun streetpunk songs i've ever heard in my life. i can't stop listening to it.

That CD basically had no distrubution at all, so back in 2001 interpunk sold like 80 000 copies or something because pop punk exploded and the only way to get the record was from interpunk. Then the milita group re-released it last year.
