Spitalfield parts ways with guitarist Dan Lowder

Spitalfield have announced that the reason they dropped off the remaining Warped Tour dates is because their guitarist left the band:

The reason we had to miss the last ten dates of Warped Tour is because we unexpectedly received word from our guitar player that he would no longer be touring with the band come this fall. Our new record, "Better Than Knowing Where You Are", is slated for an October 3rd release- and we were forced to face the choice of losing Dan Lowder right when the record comes out (and dealing with it then) - or canceling a string of shows to get home and begin rehearsing with a fill-in guitar player to be full strength when the record comes out.

Lowder was a member of the band since 2000 and is leaving due to personal reasons.

I actually really like "Stop Doing Bad Things" it reminds me a bit of Texas Is The Reason, maybe it's me I don't know. Their first album was horridly generic pop punk and well, just horrid. It does suck for them and Dead To Fall, Darkest Hour, Between The Buried and Me, Comeback Kid, With Honor and The Forecast being signed to Victory and all...the rest of their roster I could care less about...

the song that sounds like Piebald was great, 'Tampa Blues' i think. otehr than that the album didn't do much for me. oh and the 'smoking that last cigarette' song.

i really like the first one, pop-as-shit? yea, but definitley not generic, there were some really solid parts on a few of the songs and a good amount of originality. at least in tracks 1-5 and the last song.

I've heard that Texas Is The Reason comparison more than once but I personally don't hear it, if anything The Forecast remind me a little more of TITR.

i saw this weeks Entourage for the first time just now, probably the best episode of the season and maybe one of the best ever. Ari and Johnny Drama really run that show.

Yeah, the Vegas one was good, but I actually liked the one before it even more. Drama running around getting pissed off before his audition and Ari working with Barbara Miller at the Hamlet.

I think this season has been pretty weak.

I think that Season One was kind of weak.

Season Two was pretty good.

And while Season Three has had some ups and downs, etc., I think it's mostly been a lot of filler, they're just smoother than, say, Season One.
