Shane Halpern (ex-Keepsake) unveils new band, the Cartoon Life

Former vocalist of Keepsake Shane Halpern has resurfaced with a new band, the Cartoon Life. Described as having "a fresh sound," the band recently recorded four songs at Saint Claire Studios in Lexington, Kentucky. You can preview a live version of the track "Sarah" at the band's Myspace page.

Keepsake released their final album, Black Dress in a B Movie, on Fearless in 2002.

no, duane hosein was the singer of keepsake then left to join poison the well, he recorded on distance makes the heart grow fonder then left the band.

after duane came this guy. duane was much better.

if by "fresh," he means generic, then he's pretty dead on. otherwise, this is pretty much "econo-buy rock."
