shouldn't you have all these songs already? downloaded if not bought, at least. why buy some comp with like, the one black flag and bad brains song that most people know already? 2+ Replies

I'm sure we could argue that Red Youth Army Threat were left off (seriously, where the fuck are Dead Kennedys, Descendents, Circle Jerks, and the Zero Boys?), but this still isn't a bad collection. At least it's better than whatever crap Ferret is putting out this week - Strength Through Victory or Death Before Dying or some such nonsense. 2+ Replies

Dischord gave their stuff to a major label. Have they ever done this before? 4+ Replies

They could have picked better 7 Seconds ("Clenched Fist , Black eyes", "Young Til I Die) and SSD ("Waster youth", Boston Crew") songs. Still this is pretty stale. I own 70% of this stuf already.

This would be a really good comp. for kids who are just getting into hardcore and don't know anything about it's history. Otherwise, I pretty much agree with everyone else. If you're into the core, you should probably have all this already. 1+ Reply

ehh... obviously they are awesome songs, but they definitely went the safe route.

I am constantly impressed with Rhino's compilations (especially the boxsets). Doubt I'll buy this, but it looks good.

Nice, especially surprised to see YDI, that's pretty cool. Although id rather have all the original LP's than a comp.

Nice to see Articles of Faith on there, Bondi doesn't get enough credit for the impact he had on the Chicago Punk Scene in the 1980s...

I read American Hardcore years ago. The soundtrack makes sense relative to the book.

Whoa nice, I'm sure I could make this playlist on my iPod, but hell maybe ill buy it anyway. I'm lazy. By the way I saw the Adolescents the other week in Chicago. Steve Soto nudged me out of the way from behind to get on stage. I SWEAR I thought he was going to eat me.

No POISON IDEA? Looks pretty good except the fact of no motherfucking POISON IDEA!
