Aiden tackle Billy Idol, Misfits on upcoming DVD+EP

Aiden have detailed their upcoming DVD+EP release, Rain In Hell. Due out October 31st, 2006, the package includes six audio tracks, live performances and music videos from the band.

In the audio portion, the band will provide covers of the Misfits "Die Die My Darling" which was previously (and famously) tackled by Metallica, and Billy Idol's "White Wedding." Besides live sets from Chicago and Seattle, the disc will include three music videos from the band's previous releases.

The band, who recently took "Best International Newcomer" at the Kerrang! awards, will be supporting the album on an upcoming tour with Silverstein, It Dies Today and He Is Legend.

see personally, I think Aiden replaced Hawthorne Heights on my top 5 list. basically because everything Hawthorne Heights sucks for, Aiden takes (like...really takes, I mean riff for riff) and makes it even worse.

ya they are all in the same genre, way to go, did you know 2 +2 = 4? i was making the point that Idol is a pop artist he definatley shares a genre with pop punk or anything with pop in front of it. But if you want to be more specific, i guess he would be more along the lines of Britney Spears or Christina Aguilera, seeing as how they too are just pop artists.

Billy Idol's solo career is atrocious, but Gen X had some solid pop tunes. Good Charllotte suck because they try to pretend to have cred... Even if he sold out, Billy Idol was originally in Chelsea and at least came from punk rock (back when that shit meant getting beaten up and spat on)

i bought their first cd last summer, i had missed them at a show when they were touring with a bunch of victory bands and they seemed like nice kids. the cd was great actually. then the victory debut came out... pure trash. he manages to mention nightmares in the chorus of at least 4 songs, and everything sounds the same. i finally caught them live when they opened for HIM last spring, it was one of the worst things i have ever witnessed. 2 kids who look like oompa lumpas and i don't know where to start on the singer, he definately tries way to hard at something, not sure what because i can't figure out what exactly he is going for in his fashion sense and stage show
