I hope that this lawsuits spans a couple years, and that Victory ends up loosing it and gets nothing, by that time I hope no one will give a shit about this band, so that the EMI looses money on their release, and Hawthorne gets dropped. There are several surprising things about this, none of which make it interesting.

But, it does look like Tony Brummel may finally get his ass handed to him legally. I doubt EMI/Virgin would come within a mile of any band who may be otherwise obligated to another label or would cause a legal struggle. Obviously major labels do check legal tabs thoroughly.

And hopefully the chicken has come home to roost for Victory. They can only take advantage of the bands who sign with them for so long.

p.s. Does Tony Brummel spend much of his time in Chicago, because I think I saw him "scowling" his way down North Ave, last weekend.

It was pretty well spoken about that Hawthorne Hieghts had a "no buy out" clause in their contract (Tony got wise after a few bands publicly hopped shit..er ship).
