MxPx has refuted the story presented by Alternative Press (and reported by Punknews.org) earlier this week that indicated that they had signed to Tooth and Nail. Through a video blog on their website, frontman Mike Herrera made it clear that the Let It Happen reissue was an one-off thing:
We're excited to be working with Tooth and Nail on this. Its a one-record thing, just a one-time thing. Much like it was with Ten Years and Running, where they came to us with the idea, "Hey we want to rerelease Let It Happen, its been 8 years, let's do this.
That's the first time the phrase:
"In Scott's defense" wasn't followed by, "it did look like food".
God...I think I need to take a shower after that.

Oh man, that's burn. It's ok Scott, I still trust you.....to a degree. Seriously though, those press releases can be worded awkwardly sometimes just to make it sound better, or more sensational.
SideOneDummy just issued the following statement: No dude, I'm pretty sure you're on Tooth & Nail. Did you double check? Call them back maybe they're willing to work something out.

I don't know. Did you laugh the first time? If not you should go back and reread it. It really is funny.
If you still don't laugh you can always go back to playing your pan flute.

Glad you liked it. I was pretty stoked that my editor in chief thought it was a good idea when I pitched it. And I fucking love that shark photo on the last page of it, too.
I'm just asking because I clearly remember last year when The Bomb's Indecision came out and I got into some argument with you about AP I said that one of the things AP should do is a history on Naked Raygun.
AP is a really well-done magazine- it just covers mostly things I have no interest in reading about. When it occasionally does cover things I care about, it's awesome.
New Spiderman trailer. I never read the comics but it looks really good. And the guy who wrote the little blurb about Kirsten Dunst being ugly obviously has no taste.
Hated it. I barely made it through the entire thing without getting up and leaving.
The guy who played Doc Oc was so not a badass, and I don't like Toby McGuire (probably butchered that spelling) to begin with. So it was like I had no one to cheer for.
I will say the trailer for this third one does look a lot better, though.
doc oc really isn't susposed to be a badass though. i just didn't like that spider-man spent half of the movie in costume without his mask on. if there is anyone in the movie who didn't know it was peter parker by the end of the film they are retarded
I don't think Scott got "pwn3d" at all on the Killers thread. Don't act like he writes that whole rag cover to cover. Is your day job awesome? I doubt it.

Your diligence is commendable. I just hope that you have the same goal-oriented mentality in the rest of your life as you do in your fan-boyness for MxPx. Now, I hope you two Internet-Warriors will kiss and make up.
FallingUpwards/Maverick in 2008! Let's make it happen!
I'm not saying this applies to you, but I can almost guarantee you that a good percentage of the people getting WWHRD? shirts don't even know who he is; they just want to show some SARC/NN2S/Mitch Clem love.
I swear to god my mailman has my wwhrd t-shirt in his fucking truck along with the three other packages I'm waiting on but he's just too lazy to get his fat ass out of his truck to bring them to my door and, since they won't fit in the mailbox, he keeps them.
Well he's singlehandedly responsible for spreading this rumor across the internet... because not only did this site take Alternative Press' word for it, but absolutepunk.net did too. So I imagine this will hurt his credibility quite a bit.
I feel bad for the guy but Scott really should have said something by now. If he would just come out and say he was wrong, people wouldnt give him so much shit.
honestly what is he going to say? a press release that probably wasn't worded clearly led to him taking it out of context, things like that happen. i know i've done that several times in the past and i will do it again in the future. shit happens
yeah maybe, but you gotta admit, if you had posted something you were convinced was true, you'd probably end up being a dick if someone was saying you were wrong.
While you are at it, why don't you and the rest of the AP-haters send an email over to Kelly MacGaunn @ Kelleemackpr (kelleemack@sbcglobal.net), who issued that press release for AP to pick up in the first place.
seriously he isn't signing in... but who cares, sign in say "i got a press release that was worded unclearly/incorrectly" and he doesn't look like he is hiding.
I heard the new "Role Remodeling" track from Mxpx today and it is pretty darn cool. Sure it has a sort of Bad Religion vibe but the thing is smokin'. I'm glad Aaron Sprinkle produced it.
don't worry scot, it happens to the best of us. i remember one time in my youthful illiteracy, i reported that Bomb the Music Industry broke up when they actually just broke even in monetary terms. boy, was my face red. but this must be harder on you since it is your job and everything...
but its still possible that they rejoined tooth and nail but the guy doesn't wanna say it for political reasons...
Who fucking cares. MXPX could be on any roster and still suck just the same. You all have been very mean to Scott, and I think the only way to make up for that is to have everyone here contribute and buy him pies.
uh oh
