Media: The North Atlantic debut video for "Scientist Girl"

The North Atlantic have posted the first video from their recent full length, Wires in the Walls. The band has drawn comparisons to everyone from Fugazi and Archers of Loaf to Weezer and promises "wordsmithery [...] that would make Blake Schwartzenbach envious. "

this band is awesome, saw them live in kalamazoo michigan before they released Wires In The Walls at a house party....very talented, very solid..

Aubin -- This isn't their first video from their full length, which also isn't recent. The re-release is recent, but Wires was originally released three years ago. There is another video for Bottom of this Town that came out a while ago.

What's up with the song? "Paycheck" robot? And why the extended "giiiirl" during "Congratulations girl"/"Salutations girl"? It sounds terrible.

"PayCheck" was used in place of "Fucking" cause this was the single the label picked, hence paycheck. they retracked the song, had to make it consumable by the mass market. all their other stuff is so abrasive that the hot topic crowd would be turned off by Dogs of Dawn and Drunk Under Electrics, nes pas?

And you have no idea how much I love Atmosphere Vs... I asked them to play it at Denverfest this summer, so they changed their setlist to close with it. Such great guys.

I never heard of this band until the other night when I saw them open up for These Arms Are Snakes. They were bad ass! This song doesn't do their ability to shred justice though.

The album is great. but when i saw them live, they were struggling. but maybe they just didn't really give a crap because there was like less than 20 people there and they were playing first on the bill. the first band to play almost always gets the shaft at shows.
