Fall Out Boy has announced the openers for their headlining tour with New Found Glory via FriendsorEnemies.com.

No specific dates have yet been announced, however it will run from Jan. 4-20, 2007. All the bands will be supporting recent/forthcoming albums of sorts. Fall Out Boy will release LP4, Infinity on High on Feb. 6; New Found Glory released Coming Home this year; Lifetime will release their first full-length in nearly a decade, Lifetime, on Feb. 27; the Early November released their triple-disc effort, The Mother, The Mechanic, And the Path this year; Permanent Me's After the Room Clears drops in early 2007. I can see Lifetime getting really big from this. They will have a PR machine and $$ backing them. Pete will want to get them out there. The kids are going to eat this shit up. Fuck it. good for them. 5+ Replies

Considering the fact that I like NFG and like a lot of FOB's songs, I would go see this if I was guaranteed not to be surrounded by 12 year olds 1+ Reply

I'm not going to be the one to scream sellout, I don't particularly mind bands I enjoy making a decent living, but isn't this enormously against what Yemin & Co stand for? 2+ Replies
Someone (December 1, 2006)
I hope the sellout real good so that everyone can see how overated they actually are.

I can't even bring myself to even believe any of this. This is absolutely horrible. Aside from getting what will most likely be a hefty paycheck, why would Lifetime even do this? They had so much credibility with their legacy and now doing a tour like this really makes me wonder what it was all for. 1+ Reply

This is damn near unforgivable. What's next? D4 opening for P!ATD? 2+ Replies

I've never really got into Lifetime enough to get into their politics and such, but how exactly is this going against them? I mean, I expect a lot of these comments are people just pissed that a band they like will be known by 13 year olds (GASP!), but how is this worse than AM! signing to Sire? 2+ Replies

I think my only gripe with this is that Lifetime is an OPENER. Then again, maybe if they didn't open, kids wouldn't stick around for them. Lifetime has done the small club circuit so much, who cares if they play a bigger venue. If anyone has paid their dues, it's Lifetime. More power to them. 3+ Replies

Good chance for fans of a popular band to see a good punk band. Reminds me of Bad Religion opening for Pearl Jam. I hope Lifetime sells some more records from this tour. They deserve it. 1+ Reply

Lifetime=most overated band in punkrock history and now their touring with FALLOUT BOY, just jump off a bridge now losers.
Someone (December 1, 2006)
This should be a great tour. Hopefully TEN will play "decoration" and "hair" off of their latest album.
Someone (December 1, 2006)
Has anyone sent in a review for the last TSOL shows? I'd sure like to read it.
Someone (December 1, 2006)
At the risk of being ventilated with spitballs and hate, perhaps this will get kids to explore more "underground" bands that still have "scene cred."
DickAround (December 1, 2006)
This is probably the best fucking thing ever. I'd see NFG and Lifetime in the same night if I could. Who even gives a shit if Fall Out Boy are playing?
Someone (December 2, 2006)
Ok morons, lemme tell you how it is. Lifetime is a band that wants nothing but to rake in on the cash that is to be earned on the fact that they "influenced" so many fuckers these days. So of course they're touring with dildo and the dildo's. can we get over that one? let us just assume that a band wants to make a quick buck that's never gonna happen, and move the fuck on. fuck all these bands. if you're not listening to the SPANISH HARLEM ORCHESTRA, you're dead to me.
Someone (December 6, 2006)
One very important factor about this reuinion that everyone has totally overlooked is this: PLAYING IN A BAND IS FUN. Seriously, I cant think of a better feeling than seeing somebody sing along to a song you wrote (granted most people might not be in a band). Its not like lifetime is touring constantly, they are just playing a couple shows here and there, and the music they are producing is better than ever. Sometimes you play shows with bands that arent in your genre. we once played a show with an 80's metal band, a blues band, and a alt. rock band....and that show was very fun. | Features
