Blackout Pact members shooting documentary in Middle East

Wisam Alshaibi and Billy Joe Bailey, both formerly of The Blackout Pact have announced plans to tour the Middle East - including Iraq, Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, Israel, and Egypt - to shoot a documentary about punk and skateboarding .

Wisam explained:

A lot of the kids in these country's have been defined by stuff that doesn't matter to them, Religion, Ethnicity, Religious Sect, etc - all stuff that isn't up to them, all things that limit them...

I remember when I was young, I had punk rock and skateboarding to protect, to make me a part of something that was bigger than me, something that didn't care that I was Iraqi, something that made me friends..

Does anyone else suspect that The Blackout Pact was only formed so that people would pay attention to all of the members side projects that they were more interested in?

I mean this is a really interesting thing they are doing, but there have been about 8 updates on what the members of the Blackout Pact have been doing lately. If it wasn't for their existence in that band, would this even get posted?

the drummer yeah, but hey at least he owned up to it, and apologized instead of trying to deny it and asking people to stand by him. People make mistakes especially people who are raging drunks and/or druggie idots as the members of Blackout Pact were known for. at least now he's trying to do something good and productive and even the other members say they hold no grudges toward him

Well that's good that he owned up and that there are no grudges between the members, and I wish I could receive that kind of forgiveness if I fucked up like that should it ever happen to me, but it does NOT change the fact that stealing SKSK's laptop was a dick move (Regardless of how much they suck).

scary kids left it in their dressing room, the drummer stole it and hid it in a bag in their van..the only reason he got caught and "owned up" to it was because he got caught by the house of blues on camera and HOB and Silverstein told Scary Kids who searched their van...then when they found out the drummer blamed it on the blackout pacts merch guy.

sorry douche, that movie has already been made. By one Liz Nord, its called "Jericho's Echo" and its exactly about what this guy is planning on basing his film. The only difference is she is a real film maker and not an "ex" punk rocker band member. if this seems interesting i suggest you go and check her film out and instead of waiting to see what happens after a thief of a person goes and attempts to create a film.
