Alkaline Trio statement on Warped Tour participation

Alkaline Trio have reined in rumors on the extent of their participation in this year's Warped Tour. While it's still likely that the band will play select dates on the summer festival, the popular act is warning that nothing has yet been confirmed:

We realize that our name has been associated with this years Warped Tour (as it has in prior years). We implore you to not believe everything that you read. Since the dates were published, we have been in contact with the powers behind the Warped Tour trying to reach an agreement. I believe that we are dangerously close to confirming dates on the tour, but they may not coincide with those already posted.

Once dates are finalized they'll be posted to the band's website and MySpace page.

The band is set to record in April, although the home of the new full length is up in the air with the demise of V2. The band recently bookended their six year relationship with Vagrant Records with the release of Remains.

your fuckin retarded their not ska at all and even if they were they'd still kick ass. Less than jake is ska and alkaline trio is nothing close to less than jake style. Have you ever heard a trumpet or any other band instrument in any alkaline trio song ever?! the answer is no. Alkaline trio is amazing and you suck end of story.

I haven't heard Finding The Rhythms, so I don't know where I'd rank it. As for Never Ender, I don't really consider it an album, but if it were it would probly fit between Fuel and No Division on my list.

Weezer and Alkaline Trio both said they hated playing Warped Tour and never wanted to play it again. Weezer and Alkaline Trio have both been advertised as playing Warped Tour when their booking agents had not even been contacted yet about it.
