Epitaph to release Social Distortion greatest hits CD in Europe

It has been announced that Epitaph will be releasing to upcoming Social Distortion Greatest Hits record throughout Europe. Along with the 10 tracks and the 1 new track, a previously unreleased live version of "1945" will be an extra song for the European edition of the release. For the rest of the world the record is being released through Time Bomb Recordings on June 26, 2007. Right after the release of the record, MIke Ness and friends will start their upcoming US Tour.

that's funny. i actual felt the blood rush to my head while i was reading your post, then i got to the second part and laughed at myself! yeah, i guess i'm just used to having the records. if there are extra tracks, i'll pick it up.

since when do they have enough hits to merit a greatest hits album? As far as hits go they have like 4.

i think thats it. the other good songs are covers...like under my thumb and ring of fire.

12 songs is a bunch of horseshit. what is that, 40 min? so, 10-16$ for 40 min of music? no fuckin thank you. they have 9 albums.... so 12 songs.... 9 albums, that's barely 1 song per album.... fuck epitaph and fuck whomever is in charge of compiling the songs for a greatest shits album. this is the type of shit that has people not buying records anymore.

keep in mind this is a "greatest hits" not a "best of".

That said, the track listing is pretty weak.

i love this band, but fuck, just buy any of their albums..all of them are cheaper, and worth it for the gems which didnt make the cut for this great hits package...and shouldn't a greatest hits cd have more tracks than most of their albums? hell, i think all their albums consist of more than 12 tracks...as for epitaph releasing this..youre a little too late on putting out some good punk, try like 10 years too late.

really? there's a similar song writing style and lyrical content but there albums all sound drastically different the each other.

Are you telling me White Light, White Heat, White Trash sounds exactly the same as Mommy's Little Monster?
